Georgia Tech Mailbox Door Bank, door manufactured by the Corbin Lock Company, this 1950’s Art Deco cast Bronze Post Office Door Bank features the “Sun Burst” style dial with lines radiating out from a center circle. The door has been professionally restored to it’s original condition. There is a slot in the front of the door that was used by the students to exchange messages prior to the electronic messages we use today; it also serves as the coin slot. The lock is fully functional, and the combination is provided.
Box is hand crafted from repurposed aged Pennsylvania Cherry that was stored in a climate controlled workshop for over 20 years and has developed a rich patina. The box has a natural oil and wax finish. There are protective felt pads on the bottom. The door number can be changed to any number of your choice up to 5 digits.
