Description
Saint Wincent College old Mailbox Door Bank. This retired mailbox door comes to us from Saint Wincent College in Latrobe PA.
The door was “rescued” by a 40 year + maintenance worker when the individual Post Office in Gerard and Bonaventure halls were being eliminated and a new central Post Office was being built about 40 years ago. The cabinet of 60 doors was first kept on campus in his work area, and later moved to his basement and garage until just recently when he put the unit up for sale. I have cleaned and fully restored the doors, then hand crafted the box from salvaged Pennsylvania Cherry. The mailbox door bank includes the original door number, glass and working combination. The door was manufactured in 1910. Opening instructions are provided. I have build a coin slot into the back, and placed protective felt pads on the bottom.
Only one door is listed, however I have several of these available. Send a message or give me a call if you are interested in several.
We offer a “Lost Combination” service if needed. Just e-mail the 5 digit production number from the bottom of the Bank.
All our doors ship FREE within the US via the USPS
