Penn State Mailbox Door Bank #628 circa 1964

Description

Penn State Mailbox Door Bank # 628. The door was made in the 1960’s and has the date stamped on the inside. It spent many years in daily service at Findlay Commons, Penn State University and was retired in the spring of 2023. Findlay Commons is located in the East Halls Residence Area. Doors were purchased from Lion Surplus in September of 2023. Box is Hand Crafted from salvaged Oak Church Pews with a Dark Oil and Wax finish. The box is cut so the grain wraps around the outside. There are felt pads on the bottom, and Penn State Mailbox Door coin slot on top. The lock is fully functional, and the combination is provided.  This Penn State Mailbox Door Bank is an excellent piece of Penn State History and a would be a great addition to any PSU collection.
