Description

Old Mailbox Door Bank from Canton NY.  This Nickel plated Bronze door from the Corbin Lock company features a “sunburst” and rays along with two dials for easy opening.  Combination is fully functional and included.

The door was in service at a College in Canton NY from the 50’s and replaced several years ago.  It comes to us from an antiques dealer in upstate NY.

I hand crafted the box from Salvaged rustic quarter sawn White Oak.  The box has a natural oil and wax finish that highlights the aged white oak and significant amount of “fleck” and character in the wood.  Original door number can be changed up to 4 digits. Just include a note at time of purchase with your select number. There is a coin slot it the top and protective felt pads on the bottom. Bank measures 5″ wide x 4″ deep x 6″ tall.

We provide  a “Lost Combination” service. Simply send us a e-mail titled “Lost Combo” and provide the number on the bottom or back of your bank, and we will provide the combination.
