Description
Cast Bronze door from the 1950’s previously used as a Mailbox Door, was used to create this unique Bank. The Door was made by the Corbin Cabinet Lock Company and features a “bulls eye” with lines radiating from the center. Commonly referred to as a “Sunburst” door the lock is fully functional with the combination and instructions provided. This style door is certainly one of the easiest to open. Just set each dial as indicated, and push the latch know to the right to open. Lock will rest and the door is locked upon closing.
Hand crafted repurposed Hemlock barnwood from the early 1900’s forms the box. The wood is first cleaned and sanded, cut and assembled so the grain wraps around the outside in a “waterfall” fashion. After one last sanding the box is finally spray coated with 3-5 layers of traditional Shellac.
The number on this mailbox door bank is easily changed, and we can custom number up to 4 digits at no cost. Enter your number change request in the notes section on the check out page. Coin slot on the top and protective felt pads on the bottom. Makes a great gift. Post Office Door Bank overall size measures: 5″ wide, 4″ deep, 6″ tall.
We also provide a “Lost Combination” service. Simply send us an e-mail with the number on the bottom of the bank, and we will provide the combination.
