Description

Unique cast Bronze Antique Post Office Door bank uses the “Points of the Compass” rather than number or letters to unlock the working combination. Manufactured by the American Post Office Equipment Co, of Chicago in 1902. The door retains the original Beveled Glass.  Salvaged from a general store from a small town outside Kansas City the Post Office Door was purchased from a local antique dealer in 2023.

Beveled glass is over 120 years old and shows some signs of age. We can replace the number up to four digits if you want, just send us a message at time of purchase. The box is Hand Crafted from Hemlock Barnwood salvaged in Western PA. The original Rotary Saw blade marks are still clearly visible on the side and top of the box. The box has a natural Shellac finish. Size 4″ deep, 5″ wide, and 6″ tall. There is coin slot in the top and protective felt pads on the bottom. The combination is provided and we offer a “lost combination” service. Simply e-mail us with the five digit number on the bottom of the bank and we will send your combination.

This Antique Post Office Door Bank is a great addition to any collection.
