Antique Post Office Door Bank circa 1906. Solid cast Brass door made by the Keyless Lock Company features the “War Eagle” on the front. Door was originally installed in Freeville NY Post Office around 1906 where it was in service into the 1960’s. Obtained by a local collector, it remained in Freeville until we purchase the entire cabinet of over 100 doors about 3 years ago. Door are in excellent condition for being almost 120 years old. Fully functional combination locks feature the original combination which is provided. The box is hand crafted from Rustic Alder and cut so the grain wraps around the outside in a “waterfall” fashion. It has a natural oil and wax finish.
It has a coin slot on top and felt pads on the bottom. This is a very well-preserved piece of history. Measures 5”w x 4″ d x 6″T
