Description
1906 Keyless Lock Brass “Eagle” Post Office door Bank (larger #2 size). This door was installed in Freeville NY in the early 1900’s and was retired in the 1950’s when a new Post Office was built. The door remained in Freeville until June of 2022 when we were able to purchase the entire lot of about 100 doors from a private collector. The box is hand crafted from Rustic PA Cherry and is cut so the grain wraps around the outside in a “waterfall” fashion. It has a natural Oil and Wax Finish. The door has the original two-digit combination for easy opening. There is a coin slot on top and felt pads on the bottom. This is a very well-preserved piece of history. Measures 7″w x 4.5″ d x 7.5″T
We also provide a “Lost Combination” service. Just send us an e-mail with the 5 digit number from the bottom of your bank and will send your combination.
