Description
Grove City College Mailbox Door Bank # 568. This door was in service at GCC from the early 1940’s to the mid/late 1970’s. A large group of these doors were purchased by Professor Otto in the late 1970’s and were preserved in his garage for the next 50 years. We have cleaned the door just enough to remove the dirt and grim while preserving as much of the patina as possible. The locks are fully functional, and the doors are mounted in Rustic Pennsylvania Cherry with and oil and wax finish. There is a medallion on top indicating “Grove City College Mailbox Door Circa 1940’s. The door is made of Zink rather than the traditional Brass, as it was made during the WWII time frame and all Brass was needed for the war effort. We have an assortment of these door available for custom orders. Just send us a note and we can let you know what numbers remain available. They range from the high 500’s to the low 700’s.
